What WalkThere provides
WalkThere provides editorial destination stories, sourced travel context, locally displayed licensed photographs, and optional access to third-party street-level imagery and maps. It is not a booking agent, tour operator, emergency service, or navigation provider.
Travel decisions and safety
Conditions change. Before travelling, you must verify current conditions including access, opening times, permits, weather, transport, health requirements, and safety advice with authoritative local sources. WalkThere content is not professional travel, medical, safety, or legal advice.
Imagery and route continuity
A WalkThere journey may contain editorial jumps, nearby scenes, historical material, or contextual imagery. Unless a journey expressly says otherwise, it is not a continuous verified walking route. Provider arrows show movement within provider imagery and do not prove that WalkThere has verified a real-world route.
Third-party services
Mapillary, OpenStreetMap services, editorial sources, and other linked sites are operated independently. Their availability, content, licences, privacy practices, and terms are controlled by their respective operators. Your use of those services is subject to their terms.
Content and licences
WalkThere’s original interface and editorial arrangement may not be copied or misrepresented as your own service. Third-party photographs, map data, imagery, names, and source materials remain subject to their stated licences and attribution requirements. Nothing in these terms transfers third-party rights to you.
Acceptable use
- Do not interfere with the site, bypass access controls, or overload third-party services.
- Do not remove attribution or use content in a way that violates a stated licence.
- Do not rely on the demonstration as an emergency, navigation, or safety system.
Availability and responsibility
The service is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, WalkThere makes no guarantee that content is complete, current, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular trip, and is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on outdated conditions or independently operated third-party services.
